WATER SUPPLY INTAKE
Lake Tuscaloosa intake crib improvements, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Owner: City of Tuscaloosa. General contractor: Haren Construction
Scope: Demolition and removal of the timber intake crib and rock ballast, then diver installation of steel formwork, rebar cage, concrete and the new fabricated crib. Removal and replacement of the leaf screen guide rails and the aerator valve intake crib. Surface supplied diving from a barge at depths past 100 ft, with surface decompression on oxygen, chamber, chamber operator and diving medical technician on site.

WASTEWATER / CONTAMINATED WATER DIVING
Valve and sluice gate replacement, JEA facility, Jacksonville, Florida
Owner: JEA (Jacksonville's municipal water and power utility). General contractor: Wharton-Smith
Scope: Contaminated water diving inside an operating wastewater facility, with sealed dry suit, positive pressure helmet and surface decontamination. Valve replacement, hydraulic concrete saw cutting and coring, installation of blocking flanges and sluice gates, with the plant kept in service.

LEVEE / FLOOD CONTROL
R.M. Clayton Levee Improvement Project, Atlanta, Georgia
Owner: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. General contractor: Astra Group
Scope: Underwater installation of four custom backflow prevention devices on the levee outfalls: a 9 ft flapper valve, a 48 in internal duckbill check valve, a custom sluice gate backflow device and an 8 ft x 7 ft flapper valve. Custom fabrication, rigging and diver installation.

PORT / WHARF CATHODIC PROTECTION
Berth 214 wharf, Port Tampa Bay, Tampa, Florida
Owner: Port Tampa Bay. General contractor: Russell Marine
Scope: Underwater installation of 294 sacrificial anodes, 194 lb each, on the wharf's steel substructure per the project plans and specifications. Surface supplied dive crew with underwater welding and burning gear. Cathodic protection specialist on site for installation, monitoring and commissioning.

MUNICIPAL WATERFRONT / PRIME CONTRACTOR
Lake Fairview boardwalk and dock, Orlando, Florida
Owner: City of Orlando. Zion Marine as prime contractor, bonded.
Scope: Public bid IFB24-0439. Demolition of the existing structure and construction of a new boardwalk and dock on Lake Fairview: pile driving, framing, decking and marine hardware, with Zion Marine holding the contract, performance bond and payment bond directly with the city.

HIGHWAY BRIDGE / PILE REPAIR
Pile jacket installation, SR 2 and SR 52 bridges, Georgia
Owner: Georgia Department of Transportation. General contractor: Massanna Construction
Scope: Underwater pile preparation and installation of 148 linear feet of non structural integral pile jackets on two highway bridges: SR 2 over West Chickamauga Creek and SR 52 over the Conasauga River. Square and rectangular jackets from 34 in to 58 in, hand dredged to grade, pumped fill placed by the dive crew from work floats. Surface supplied diving.
