INFRASTRUCTURE DOESN'T STOP AT THE WATERLINE. NEITHER DO WE.
We build, repair and inspect underwater with our own crews. Dams, ports, water plants and bridges in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.
3 years zero recordable incidents • ADCI certified divers • Clients: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Port Tampa Bay, GDOT, JEA
The same standard as the United States, in Central America
We work under U.S. commercial diving standards on every project. The same safe practices manual, the same surface supplied air and the same differential pressure controls as at any dam in Tennessee. Where local rules exist, we follow those too.
Zion Marine was founded in 2016. Between the three of us who run it, we have more than 65 years in the water and at the head of crews. What we sell is how we work.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart T, OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart Y, ADCI Consensus Standards, USACE EM 385-1-1 and U.S. Navy Diving Manual.

What we do
We work for whoever owns the structure: power and water utilities, ports, consulting engineers, general contractors and public agencies. One contractor responsible from inspection to finished work.

Construction, Maintenance and Repair
Work underwater: cutting, welding, submerged concrete and heavy equipment.
- Underwater welding and cutting
- Concrete repair: cracks, spalling, epoxy injection
- Pile encapsulation and substructures
- Valve, gate and screen installation

Inspection and Engineering Support
Inspection before, during and after the work. Measurements, video and non destructive testing an engineer can use.
- Piers, piles, bridges and dock walls
- Hydro dams, intakes and outlet works
- Trash racks, screens and gates
- Ultrasonic thickness measurement (NDT)

Commercial Diving
Full crew with supervisor on site. Depth and risk decide the diving mode.
- Modes: SCUBA and surface supplied air
- Differential pressure (ΔP) hazards at dams and powerhouses
- Permit confined space entry
- Direct support to general contractors on port work
What the client sees when we show up.
On every project, the Zion Marine supervisor has this ready and in front of the client:
Site emergency plan
Hyperbaric chamber, physician, hospital and route confirmed before the first dive.
Daily pre dive meeting
The whole crew, every day: what we're doing and what can go wrong.
Differential pressure check
Lockout tagout, gate seals verified, suction eliminated.
Open logs
Equipment checked before every dive. Dive and field logs available to the client.
Infrastructure in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala
The region's ports are growing and its hydro plants have been running for decades. We serve all three countries from San Salvador, as prime contractor or as subcontractor to your general contractor or engineering firm.
El Salvador
OPERATIONS BASECrew and equipment on site in 1 day. Surface supplied equipment for multiple crews in country. 24 hour emergency response.
Honduras
FROM EL SALVADORMobilization in 1 to 2 days from San Salvador. Same crews, same equipment, same manual.
Guatemala
